I work on projects across Kent, from home extensions and loft conversions to commercial change of use and work in conservation areas. Kent has a mix of historic towns, coastal settlements and green belt, so the planning approach varies a great deal from one district to the next.
How I work in Kent
I start by understanding the site and the local planning context: the relevant local plan, any conservation area or listed building constraints, and the design guidance the district council applies. From there I develop a design that suits the property and gives the application the best chance of approval.
Kent’s local government is under review, and district boundaries may change. I keep my local guidance up to date as that settles.
